Kewaunee County’s Winter Park is a one-of-a-kind attraction that promises fun for the whole family. This County owned facility is specially geared to offer winter time excitement for adults as well as children. Spend a few hours or spend the whole day, either way Winter Park’s family based environment provides a unique and economical outdoor recreational setting for all.
The Winter Park tubing hill features 6 chutes and a vertical drop of 70 feet. Each run is approximately 450 feet long. Riders are transported back to the summit by a state-of-the-art tow lift that hooks each tube to the tow line and pulls riders up the hill. All the tubers need to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. The Winter Park Tube Hill is open every weekend until spring from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Riders are required to rent tubes and purchase a lift ticket. The cost for Tubing is $5.00/person for 2 hours. We also offer a family rate of $18.00 for 2 hrs, up to 5 people. The Tubing hill may also be reserved on week-day-nights for groups of 50 or more. Food and beverages are available at the park. For the more daring, try your luck at the Winter Park Ski area. Choose one of the five ski runs rated from easy to more difficult. The ski area offers a 160 foot vertical drop and runs over a quarter mile in length – perfect for a family to enjoy. Skiers and snowboarders alike are transported to the summit on a T-Bar lift for an economical $10 / day lift ticket. The Ski Hill is open every weekend from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays. Unfortunately, no rental equipment is available at the hill at this time.
Skiers and tubers are invited to the Winter Park Chalet to warm up by the fire and enjoy food and beverage concessions offered for sale by the Winter Park Recreation Association. Menu items include hot chocolate, soda, pizza, hotdogs, and various other snacks. Winter Park is a cash only facility, so please come prepared. Winter Park is on County F, west of Kewaunee across from Bruemmer Park and adjecent to to the historic Dana Farm.
From Green Bay take Wisconsin 29 toward Kewaunee, and turn left on Birchwood Road, then right on County F.
From the Lakeshore, take WI 42 Kewaunee and proceed west on WI 29 and take County Road C west to County F.
From WI 54 to the north, take County C south from Casco to County F.
