Good news for hunters!

More hunters coming to Kewaunee area.
"MADISON — Some Wisconsin hunters wouldn’t have to worry about putting their guns in cases while they’re driving under a bill approved in the state Senate.

The bill approved Tuesday on a voice vote would allow unloaded firearms that are 26 inches or longer to be transported in vehicles. Bows and cross bows also wouldn’t have to be in cases as long as they are not armed with an arrow or a bolt under the bill.

Under current law, firearms must be transported in closed cases and bows and cross bows must either be in cases or unstrung.

Lobbying records show the National Rifle Association and other groups representing hunters are supporting the bill, which makes other technical changes for group deer hunting" Source: Relaxed gun, bow transporting rules endorsed by Wisconsin Senate greenbaypressgazette.com Green Bay Press-Gazette
